From Trash to Treasure
There is no shame in taking someone else’s tossed out “garbage” and turning it into a new piece of furniture for your home. This practice has been frowned upon for many years, but recently it is becoming a past time, if you will, to go “dumpster diving” to find items that can be refinished and showcased in your home.
For example Nancy, a mom of four was out driving one Saturday morning when she came across this homeowner who was putting a few pieces of furniture on the corner side. She stopped and asked her what was wrong with the items for they all looked fairly used. The homeowner told her that her dog and cat had a fight and the furniture suffered because of it.
Upon further inspection,
And truly it was!
“Dumpster Diving” for fixable furniture is quickly becoming the latest fad. Be sure to catch the wave and dive in. You will be certain to find joy in the treasures you find!

more and more homeowners are leaving “old” furniture and other household items outside their houses to be collected as trash. sad in many ways that we’re turning into a disposable nation, where it’s easier to go out and buy a replacement than spend some time and effort fixing or restoring something that’s not quite perfect.
great post…
