Time for a Change! Redecorating Inside
Do you walk into your home, or maybe just one room and feel like something is missing? Something doesn’t feel right to you. Your senses are picking up on the incorrect decorating in your room or house. This is sometimes referred to as your Interior well-being. Colors, placement of art, furniture arrangements, etc. all effect our senses and therefore affect our sense of comfort or well-being.
It’s time for a brisk round of redecorating of your interior space! It does not have to be anything drastic, sometimes merely re-arranging furniture or hanging new artwork will do the trick, but if you are opting for a complete new interior makeover, here are a few suggestions to keep in mind.
First set your budget for your redecorating plan. Try to calculate any and all costs that might arise through the course of redecorating your room or house. You will want to keep this up-to-date and handy. Setting a budget reduces stress and allows you to focus on the task at hand.
What style or theme are you attempting? Do you have a particular one in mind? Try perusing decorating magazines, and pull out any and all pictures that appeal to you and involve interior redecorating. Look at all of them and find any common threads between them — do they share color schemes? Are there similar accessories in some of them? If you get a good match, chances are your room is fully functional, and you’ve chosen an excellent mood.
Selecting your color scheme is what you should do next. Fit the colors to the mood you want to convey to those that enter the room… Keep in mind that the cooler colors are calming and work to make the room appear larger. Warmer colors give an essence of cozy and lessen the large feel to a room.
Mix up your pickings on accessories. Mix the old with the new, the light with the dark, and make your own look. Nothing is set in stone, move things around until you find the perfect spot. The best thing about interior redecorating is the fact that it just gets better and better with each change!
